Our Operation
The Orchard On our 1,000 acres of orchards, we grow exceptional almonds. They're delicious, nutritious, and have all kinds of culinary versatility.
The Apiary But almonds trees can't self-pollinate--their blossoms need bees to produce fruit. That means the alarming decline in honey bee populations is a serious threat to almond production.
Full Circle Orchard + Apiary We're working to turn that trend around, starting with founding an in-house beekeeping operation, right on our orchard property. It's meticulously managed to create the most supportive environment possible, and to keep the honey bees our trees depend on protected and robust.
Every spring, when we release the hives, our bees pollinate our orchards, and our neighbors’ orchards and farms, too. When they're done, we pack them up and hit the road, so they can spend their summer and early fall pollinating farms and wildflowers in places like Mississippi and North Dakota. (Our bees are very well traveled!)
